Richard H. Peeples - Allison M. Kohler  


We would like to take this opportunity to introduce ourselves.  We are a dynamic firm whose primary areas of focus are the design, implementation and maintenance of qualified pension and 401(k) profit sharing plans.  With a sophisticated understanding of changing business environments as they relate to retirement planning, Peeples & Hilburn, P.C. is positioned to protect and promote our clients’ business interests now and in the future.  With over 50 years of combined experience in the area of employee benefits, the firm offers the required expertise, valuable perspective and proven track record of experience and success to our clients.

Richard H. Peeples practices in the area of qualified retirement plans.  He advises clients regarding all forms of pension, profit sharing and 401(k) plans, including designing, tax qualifying, and tax and ERISA compliance and administrative matters.   

Richard received his Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from Austin College in 1970.  He received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Texas in Austin in 1974.  Richard is a member of the Taxation Section of the State Bar of Texas and the Employee Benefits/Executive Compensation Section of the Dallas Bar Association.  He has been a speaker at CPA, employee and trade group meetings and seminars on employee benefit topics.  He has over 30 years experience serving on boards of non-profit corporations, including serving as chair of the Board and as Treasurer of several organizations.  In 1998, he was the recipient of the J.C. Penney Golden Rule Award in recognition of his volunteer services.  

Allison M. Kohler practices in the area of qualified retirement plans.  She advises clients as to the qualification, documentation and termination of qualified retirement plans.  She also advises clients regarding the various compliance and administrative issues that arise in connection with the maintenance of a qualified retirement plan. She has experience representing clients before the Internal Revenue Service and Department of Labor with respect to issues relating to our clients' qualified plans.  

Allison received her Bachelor of General Studies degree summa cum laude from West Texas A&M University in 1997, and earned her Juris Doctor degree magna cum laude from the University of Minnesota in 2001.  Allison practiced in the employee benefits/executive compensation practice group of a large Dallas law firm for three years before joining Peeples & Hilburn in July 2004.  She is a member of the Taxation Section of the State Bar of Texas and the Employee Benefits/Executive Compensation Section of the Dallas Bar Association.  Allison is also a member of the Dallas Young Lawyers Association and the proud mother of a beautiful little girl and independent-minded little boy.
